The Brooklyn Public Library's Summer Reading Program is a great way to encourage kids to keep reading over the summer. This year's theme is "Dream Big" and at the Carroll Gardens Library Summer Reading Kick-off Party there will be games, activities and prizes - come sign your kids up for the program, which includes on-line reading logs and activities all summer. And meet the new Carroll Gardens Library children's librarian Juana Flores, who will be helping the kids sign up. The party is Thursday, June 7 from 2 PM -4 M - it's Anniversary Day so public schools are closed.
