Saturdays - 10:30 AM - Storytime with Carol & Friends starts up again on Saturday September 21.

Friday, October 4, 3:45 PM - French films for children beginning 10/4 and then every first Friday of the month

Wednesday, October 2, 6:15-7:30 - Chess with National Chess Master Manuel Ugarte, all levels and ages welcome.

About FCGL and Getting Involved

Friends of the Carroll Gardens Library is dedicated to supporting the Carroll Gardens branch of the Brooklyn Public Library, located at 396 Clinton Street at the corner of Union Street in Brooklyn, NY. The Friends group fundraises, works with the library staff and aims to help make the library a center of the community with programs for children, youth and adults all year round. FCGL was officially chartered by the Brooklyn Public Library as a Friends group in March, 2011.

All interested members of the community are invited to join the FCGL to lend their energies and ideas.  To join just come to one of our meetings -- What would you like to see at the library?  Come help us make it happen! FCGL holds regular monthly meetings on Wednesdays at 6:30 at the library. Upcoming 2012 meeting schedule: January 18, February 15, March 21.
