Love Your Library Day! May 19. Perform/Donate books/Volunteer

We're gearing up for our 2nd Annual Love Your Library Day at the Carroll Gardens Library on May 19, 2012 from 10 AM - 4 PM!  Help us make this day a success:

Artists/Musicians/Writers - We know you are out there in this creative community!  Can your band play music?  Do you want to read from one of your books?  Can you help us with art projects that will be displayed in the library after Love Your Library day? Contact us at friendscglibrary@gmail.com

Donate Books:  New and gently used books, CDs, DVDs and records for adults and children.  (Please do not donate: Damaged books without covers, cassette tapes/VHS videos, coloring books and activity books, magazines, or outdated textbooks/computer manuals). Donation schedule below.

Donation Schedule:  We're accepting donations from Wednesday, April 4 through Wednesday, May 9.  A member of Friends of Carroll Gardens Library is required to be on hand to accept donations so between those dates please ONLY bring items to the library during the following times: Saturdays 10:30 AM - 12 PM, Wednesdays 6-8 PM and Fridays 10 AM - 1 PM. Donations may not be left in the lobby - please either enter through the main doors and bring donations downstairs to the auditorium or enter through the Union Street elevators and go down the basement level.

Volunteer: We need volunteers to sort through and organize books and help us out on Love Your Library Day - please sign up to help here -http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090D44A8AA2B0-book/846077.

Thank you - we are looking forward to a wonderful day celebrating our library and our community!
